Building Capacity for NMDOH Integration through Research Partnerships

Health care systems were on a continuous journey to integrate NMDOH, working to demonstrate the impact and cost-effectiveness of non-clinical initiatives within an overwhelmingly clinical environment. Collaborating with academic research partners enabled these systems to build the capacity to innovate, test, and learn, with the goal of sustaining and embedding successful NMDOH interventions into patient care. In this session, partners from the UTHealth School of Public Health, Dell Medical School’s Factor Health initiative, and Harris Health System shared updates on ongoing NMDOH-related studies serving Harris Health patients and discussed emerging opportunities to strengthen the delivery of NMDOH services.
